Arsenal 3-1 Celtic (agg 5 -1): Champions League: video highlights

Arsenal eased past Celtic to reach the Champions League group stage. Emmanuel Eboue finished a sweeping move for Arsenal's second after 53 minutes and Andrey Arshavin added another two minutes after coming on as substitute. Massimo Donati's spectacular angled volley pulled one back for Celtic, but they now go into the Europa League. BBC

Aaron Ramsey slotted home a Robin van Persie pass to seal the hosts' win. BBC

Celtic 0 - 2 Arsenal (Champions League): video highlights

Arsenal enjoyed the rub of the green as they established a commanding Champions League play-off lead against Celtic. A Cesc Fabregas free-kick on the stroke of half-time flew into the net off the back of William Gallas as the defender crouched to avoid the ball. And midway through the second half Celtic skipper Gary Caldwell diverted a Gael Clichy cross into his own net. The manner of the goals were harsh on the hosts, who faded after an energetic first half and posed little threat. Celtic worked hard to contain Arsene Wenger's side but it was a largely comfortable evening for the Gunners back four. BBC

Arsenal 6 - 1 Everton: video highlights

Arsenal produced a scintillating opening-day display to hammer a woefully out-of-sorts Everton. Denilson fired Arsenal ahead with a curling 25-yard strike before new signing Thomas Vermaelen doubled their lead with a header from a free-kick. William Gallas headed the third before two Cesc Fabregas goals made it 5-0. Gunners substitute Eduardo was on hand to tap in a late sixth before Louis Saha rolled in the most inconsequential of goals for Everton in injury time. BBC

Goals: Denilson 26, Vermaelen 37, Gallas 41, Fabregas 48, Fabregas 69, Eduardo 88

Portsmouth 0 - 3 Arsenal: video highlights

Arsenal booked their place in next season's Champions League with a win that means Portsmouth are still yet to secure their Premier League status. Pompey goalkeeper David James gifted Arsenal the opener when he fumbled Nicklas Bendtner's header into his net. The Dane then grabbed a second from the penalty spot after Sean Davis was ruled to have fouled captain Andrey Arshavin. Carlos Vela lashed home a third. Arsenal's victory moves them 13 points clear of fifth-place Aston Villa. They are now mathematically guaranteed to finish at least fourth. BBC

Goals: Bendtner 13, 41 pen, Vela 56
